I/c VC chalks out tripartite strategy to continue the progress of GTU

Staff give warm welcome to in-charge Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajul Gajjar

Ahmedabad: GTU has done a lot of progress, achieved prestige as well as many awards. We have to continue the progress GTU has made so far. For this purpose, tripartite strategy will be implemented. We will involve students with their innovative projects and creative ideas and will take guidance of experts. After that we will put the ideas and project to industries. This was announced by Dr. Rajul Gajjar, in-charge Vice Chancellor of GTU, who is also Principal of Vishwakarma Government Engineering College and Director (infrastructure) of GTU.

GTU staff gave warm welcome to Dr. Gajjar. She addressed the staff and told them that we will start more and more student-oriented programmes. We will organise state level project fair and will ensure how we can convert a project into a product. She also indicated to implement new programmes. She mentioned that if we do less programmes, but if the programmes are worth, then the programmes can be beneficial to all.

She mentioned to strengthen Sankul activities with industries. We will include electives which can be useful to industries. We will do this with the help of experts from industry and academia. Results of such action will have major and long lasting impacts. Currently GTU is popular at state level. We will try to bring prestige of the University to the national level.

She said that we are organising series of Patent Clinics during this month. Aim of the Patent Clinics is to train around 700 students and faculty members about patent and copyright. So that more and more students and professors can come forward to file patent of their innovative projects. Besides this, next week we will also organise Open Source Summer Camp. Mozila, Java, Bootstrap and Latex will be taught in the camp.

નવા ઈન્ચાર્જ વાઈસ ચાન્સેલર ડૉ. રાજુલ ગજ્જરનું જીટીયુ સ્ટાફ તરફથી ભાવભીનું સ્વાગત

અમદાવાદઃ ગુજરાત ટેકનોલોજીકલ યુનિવર્સિટી (જીટીયુ) એ ઘણીબધી પ્રગતિ કરી છે, ઘણી નામના હાંસલ કરી છે અને એવોર્ડ પણ જીત્યા છે. પ્રગતિના પંથે જીટીયુની આ આગેકૂચને જાળવી રાખવા ત્રિપાંખીયો વ્યૂહ અપનાવવામાં આવશે. વિદ્યાર્થીઓના નવા નવા પ્રોજેક્ટો અને ક્રિયેટીવ આઈડિયા વિશે નિષ્ણાતોનું માર્ગદર્શન મેળવીને તેને ઉદ્યોગો સમક્ષ મૂકવામાં આવશે, એવી જાહેરાત જીટીયુના નવા ઈન્ચાર્જ વાઈસ ચાન્સેલર ડૉ. રાજુલ ગજ્જરે કરી હતી.

જીટીયુના સમગ્ર સ્ટાફ તરફથી ડૉ. ગજ્જરનું સ્વાગત કરવામાં આવ્યું તે પ્રસંગે તેમણે સ્ટાફને સંબોધન કરતા કહ્યું હતું કે આપણે વિદ્યાર્થીઓને લક્ષમાં રાખીને અનેક કાર્યક્રમો હાથ ધરીશું. વિદ્યાર્થીઓના સારા પ્રોજેક્ટોની રાજ્યસ્તરે પસંદગી કરવા પ્રોજેક્ટ ફેર યોજીશું અને તેનું પ્રોજેક્ટમાંથી પ્રોડક્ટમાં કેવી રીતે રૂપાંતર થઈ શકે તે પ્રક્રિયા હાથ ધરીશું. તેમણે નવા કાર્યક્રમોના અમલનો અણસાર પણ આપ્યો હતો. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે આપણે ભલે ઓછા પ્રોજેક્ટ કરીએ, પણ તે મજબૂત રીતે કરીએ તો બધાને તેનો ફાયદો થાય.

તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે વર્તમાન પ્લેટફોર્મમાં કાર્યરત એવી જીટીયુની સંકુલની પ્રવૃત્તિઓને વેગવાન બનાવવામાં આવશે. શિક્ષણ અને ઉદ્યોગોના નિષ્ણાતો મળીને અભ્યાસક્રમમાં ઉદ્યોગોની આવશ્યકતા મુજબના ઈલેક્ટીવ (મુદ્દાઓ)નો સમાવેશ કરશે. તેના પરિણામો ઘણા ઉપયોગી અને દીર્ઘજીવી નિવડશે, એવી આશા પણ તેમણે વ્યક્ત કરી હતી. તેનાથી ઉદ્યોગજગતને પણ ઘણો ફાયદો થશે. તેમણે રાજ્યસ્તરે લોકપ્રિય એવી જીટીયુ રાષ્ટ્રીય સ્તરે પણ પ્રગતિ સાધે એવા પ્રયાસો કરવાની ખાતરી આપી હતી.

તેમણે વધુમાં એવી માહિતી આપી હતી કે જીટીયુમાં હાલમાં પેટન્ટ ક્લિનિક ચાલે છે, તેમાં આશરે ૭૦૦ વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અને પ્રોફેસરોને પેટન્ટ તથા કોપીરાઈટ વિશે તાલીમ આપવામાં આવી રહી છે. તેનો વધુને વધુ વિદ્યાર્થીઓ લાભ લેતા થાય અને જીટીયુ તરફથી બહોળા પ્રમાણમાં પેટન્ટ અરજીઓ દાખલ કરવામાં આવે એવો તેનો ઉદ્દેશ છે. તે ઉપરાંત આગામી સપ્તાહમાં જીટીયુમાં ઓપન સોર્સ સમર કેમ્પ પણ યોજવામાં આવશે. તેમાં મોઝીલા, જાવા, બુટસ્ટ્રેપ અને લેટેક્સ વિશે નિષ્ણાતો માર્ગદર્શન આપશે. તેમણે સ્ટાફ અને વિદ્યાર્થીઓને જવાબદારીપૂર્વક કામગીરી બજાવવા અનુરોધ કર્યો હતો.
